Father of the Year winner anounced LEONGATHA dad of two Matt Colwill has been announced as the South Gippsland YMCA Community Father of the Year for 2010. It is 100 years since Father’s Day was first celebrated in 1910 by a YMCA in the United States, and SPLASH manager Emma Dowling said that this important annual event celebrates the significant role fathers and male role models play in our community. The Zumba craze has hit South Gippsland SPLASH with more than 190 people tiurning out to the first session on May 28 and solid participation numbers since.
